Sandoval Is Having Its First Fire Fest Friday and Saturday

Sandoval’s First Fire Fest is Friday night and Saturday.

The Sandoval Village and Fire Department’s are combining efforts instead of holding their own events.

One benefit has been the return of the carnival which will be open from five to ten both Friday and Saturday night. Armbands will be available for $15.

Live bands will perform each night. Class Country and Rock band Cold Turkey will perform on Friday night and Rock and Roll Band Double Shot on Saturday night.

Chicken and fish dinners will be served each night beginning at five. There will be a cake walk, bingo, food tent, beer garden, raffles and more.

Special activities include the Luke Hanks Color Run at ten Saturday morning, with registration at nine am. An auto-motorcycle show is scheduled for noon, with registration at eleven am. The Illinois Child Identification Program will do registration from two to five Saturday afternoon.

Sandoval Village will use its proceed of the funding for new lighting in the park. The Fire Department will use its half of the proceeds to help support the Toy’s for Tot’s and Senior Thanksgiving Dinner.
