State Police say a 16-year-old juvenile girl from Salem was injured when her car went out of control when traveling on Green Street Road approximately four miles east of Central City.
Preliminary information indicates the juvenile was traveling too fast and could not maintain control of her car as it began going around a curve. The car left the roadway to the south and overturned several times before coming to rest in a field.
The 16-year-old was transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia by Lifestar Ambulance due to her injuries.
The juvenile was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having no insurance.
