Police Beat for Sunday, October 21st, 2018

A 25-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested by Centralia Police for aggravated battery, leaving the scene of an accident and driving an uninsured vehicle.  Freda Duberstine of Sanders Street was allegedly involved in an accident at the Casey’s East Store on October 19th.  No other details are yet available.

Salem Police arrested two wanted on outstanding warrants.  28-year-old Zachery Hanks of North Broadway in Centralia was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for aggravated fleeing and eluding police.  Bond is set at $15,000.   Hanks was located by an off-duty police officer at the Salem Walmart, who notified Salem Police. 26-year-old Ashley Hutchison of West Main in Salem posted $300 bond after being arrested on a Richland County failure to appear warrant in a traffic case.  Hutchison was arrested after coming to the Salem Police Station asking to speak to an officer.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have identified a man who initially gave them a false name on Friday.  23-year-old Logan Nossett of North James in Wamac had claimed to be his brother and one other person leading to his arrest for obstructing justice.
