Centralia High School Superintendent Chuck Lane says Centralia High School was put on lockdown around 10:50 Wednesday morning immediately after a teacher informed the administration of a vague threat towards the school.
Lane says they also immediately called the police to investigate the threat. After a short amount of time, he says it was determined the threat was not credible. At 11:30 Wednesday morning, the school came off of lockdown and back to the normal school day.
Lane says they take the safety of the staff and students very seriously and will continue to do so. He is thanking the Centralia Police Department for the quick response as well as the cooperation of faculty, staff and most importantly the students.
