Lady Bobcats Open Regional Play Tonight At Wesclin…Kell/Farrington Into Regional Championship

The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats open up regional play today at Wesclin.  They will tip at 5:30 tonight against Casey Mt Vernon followed by Centralia and Wesclin.  The title game will be held on Saturday.

Last night in Class L at Carbondale, Carterville beat the hosts 36-16 and Herrin over Murphysboro 37-23.  The two will meet in the title game tonight.  At Harrisburg, Massac over West Frankfort 36-8 and Marion beat Harrisburg 56-14.  At DuQuoin, Benton beat Johnston City 35-28 and Hamilton County over DuQuoin 45-27.  Highland was the site for Collinsville’s 36-30 win over Triad and Highland beat Fulton 41-28.

Class M will crown a regional champ at Okawville tonight when the hosts take on Breese at 6pm.  Okawville opened with a 50-12 win over Carlyle and Breese knocked off Shiloh 43-30.  Regional openers will be played tonight at Nashville when Sesser plays the hosts followed by Rome and Fairfield.  Last night at Christopher, the hosts routed Zeigler 77-9 and Pinckneyville beat Unity Point 43-13.  The winners will play in tomorrow’s title game.

Last night in Class S at Sandoval, the hosts defeated Central City 68-11 to advance to the finals on Saturday where they will play Kell/Farrington after their 32-17 win over Raccoon.  Tonight, its semifinal night at Iuka when Jasper and Field play at 6 followed by St Mary’s and Iuka.
