The Salem Lady Wildcats fell on the road at Freeburg 51-43. Salem led at halftime 23-19 but were outscored 16-5 in the 3rd quarter to fall to 3-17 on the season, 1-6 in the Cahokia. Chloe Harness led Salem with 15 but it was the shooting of Lilly Oliver that brought Freeburg back. She hit 5 three pointers, and was fouled on 2 more where she hit 5 of 6 free throws to finish with 24 points. 6-1 junior Ellie Eichenlaub finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds as they improve to 18-6 overall, 5-3 in the league.

Breese Central ran their conference winning streak to 20 straight dating back to 2 years ago and improved to 7-0 in the league with a win over Columbia 44-35 sweeping the season series. Central has all but locked up their 13th consecutive league title.
South Central fell to Windsor/Stew-Stras 61-18. Laney Webster had 9 points to lead SC. Woodlawn fell to Christ Our Rock 47-30 as the Stallions got 15 from Peltes in the win.
Centralia trailed by as many as 14 points at Cahokia in the first half, but had a chance on the game’s final possession to tie, but came up short 53-50. The loss drops the Annies to 8-9 overall and 5-2 in league play heading into the Effingham Tournament where they will play Pana tomorrow at 4:30.
