Carlyle Opens Season No Hit By Mascoutah

The Carlyle Indians opened up their prep baseball season with a 15-0 loss in four innings to Mascoutah who scored in every inning with a pair in the bottom of the first, six in the second, four more in the 3rd and 3 in the fourth.  Mascoutah pitcher Logan Bibb tossed a no hitter and struck out 7.

Carlyle only had 3 base runners as Lane Heinzmann walked in the 2nd, Caleb Darr and Brady Heinzmann walked in the fourth.  Brady was the starting and losing pitcher for the Tribe working the first 2 innings.  Joe Folen covered the last 2 as Carlyle is back in action today at Valmeyer.

 

                    

 

Today in prep baseball, Nashville hosts Rockford Lutheran, Pinckneyville goes to Okawville, Centralia at Breese Central.  At the Metro East Kickoff Classic at Civic Memorial, Pleasant Plains takes on Mater Dei.
