Salem man placed on 4 years probation on meth possession charge

A 33-year-old Salem man was placed on four years probation and given credit for two days served in jail as part of a negotiated plea on a charge of possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Danny Graham of North Marion was arrested last August after Salem Police canine “Freddie” alerted on his car and a plastic bag of 23 grams of meth along with a scale were found along with a smaller bag of meth.

Illinois Department of Conservation Police had asked for the Salem canine when Graham allegedly refused a request to look in his vehicle after being questioned about fishing in the Salem Reservoir in the Nature Park area.
