Two injured in crash in front of Salem Walmart

Both drivers were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on West Main at Walton Drive in front of the Salem Walmart store Thursday morning.

Salem Police say a vehicle driven by 53-year-old LeRoy Lewis of Farina pulled from the stop sign on Walton Drive and make a left-hand turn in front of a westbound van on West Main driven by 86-year-old Marilyn Saddler of Sandoval.

Both drivers were taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries by United Medical Response.

Salem Firemen were called to assist the drivers out of the vehicles. The crash occurred at 10:44 Thursday morning.
