Donald Trumbo, 69, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Heritage Woods in Centralia. Donald worked as a Truck Driver all of his life and he drove for Trumbo Trucking. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage and going to Flea Markets to collect antiques. Donald was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s Fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Per Donald’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the funeral home. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Claudetta Trumbo of Centralia, he is also survived by nine children: Donald “Donny” Trumbo and wife Jenalee of Centralia, Robin Heck of Nashville, Jimmy Trumbo and wife Ginger of Nashville, Tennessee, Misti Donahoo of Hoyleton, Scott Rollinson and wife Erin of Rockton, Tammy Nowakaowski and husband Ron of Tamaroa, Jason Trumbo and wife Tara of Ankeny, Iowa, Julie Trumbo of Centralia and Kiara Trumbo of Centralia; 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was born December 1, 1949 in Centralia, son of Oscar “O.C.” Trumbo and Effie (Rethard) Trumbo Karras. Donald married Claudetta Owens on February 18, 1977 and she survives in Centralia. Donald was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar “O.C.” Trumbo and Effie (Rethard) Trumbo Karras, son-in-law: Dan Heck, a great-grandson: Kale Hull, 4 brothers, a sister, and father and mother-in-law: Claude and Nora Owens.
