Michael “Mike” Wade Lux, 54, of Kell, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Mike worked at Beelman’s Trucking Company in Mt. Vernon for 21 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for his family and friends. Mike loved spending time with his family.
Per Mike’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a Private Family Service will be held at a later date. He was born October 20, 1964, in Vandalia, son of Ralph Eugene Lux and Sandra Kay (Yates) Lux Hancock. He married Charlene Sill in 1986 and they later divorced. He married Angela Wesselman in 2018 and she survives in Kell.
In addition to his mother, Sandra Hancock and husband John of Salem, he is also survived by his wife, Angela Lux of Kell; six children: Shane Lux and wife Kristen of Centralia, Shawn Lux and wife Alexis of Centralia, Shanna Lux of Salem, Kory Wesselman and wife Tiffany of Fort Lenard Wood, Missouri, Sandra Keen of Kell, and Josh Wesselman of Salem; eleven grandchildren: Brenan, Madisen, Layton, J.J., Mikenzi, Emery, Damon, Destinee, Dayson, Destyn, and Emmalyn; a brother: Ron Lux of Salem; three sisters: Tammy Friend and husband Berry of Evansville, Indiana, Tracy McMeen of Salem, Terri Thies and husband Jeff of Highland; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents, two aunts: Phyllis and Pat, and an uncle: Dale Lux.
