The Salem 7th grade defeated Carlyle 17-6. Rhett Detering had 3 hits to lead Salem, Lyric Black added 2 with Cooper Lobek, Ryan Detering, Colton Shleton, Silas Moats and Colton Starnes all adding a hit.
Patoka blasted their way to a 23-1 win over Ramsey. Camden Parrish paced the offense with 3 hits and 5 RBI including a towering 3-run homer. Wade Voelkel had 3 hits and 4 RBI while Owen Landreth, Hunter Lane and Isaiah Sarchet all added 2 hits with Sarchet picking up 5 RBI. The Mohawks are 8-3 and play at Willow Grove/St Mary tomorrow.
Raccoon got a double from Noah Jourdan on his way to driving in 3 runs as the Devils beat Willow Grove St Mary 9-8. Jarrett Rushing, Braden Rector and Wyatt Eller also drove in Raccoon runs. Eller and Michael Organ pitched in the win combining to allow just 2 earned runs and 10 hits.
Selmaville short-gamed Sandoval 11-1 in five innings. Heydin Purcell tripled as part of his 2 hit day, Tanner Ballard doubled and drove in a run. Alijah Carroll had a 2 run single with Rhett Runge and Adrian Miller adding RBI. For Sandoval, Armoni Dempsey drove in the only run with Elijah Gregory adding a double as their only hit. On the mound, Nathan Paulson went 4 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 run with Aaden Rostance needing just 9 pitches to get the final 3 outs. Dempsey worked 2.1 for Sandoval with Gregory finishing up the final 1.2 innings.
Tuesday, Franklin Park baseball and softball return to action today when they both host Flora. The Central City boys and girls are at home with Rome, South Central teams are at Centralia.
