Lady Cats Fall To Central, SC Stays Hot, Columbia Wins Again Over Carlyle

It was a tough night for the Salem volleyball team opening up their Cahokia Conference with a loss to Breese Central 14-25, 12-25.  The Freshmen lost 21-9, 21-11 and the JV also lost 25-17, 25-10.

South Central is 6-1-and-1 overall and 3-0 in the NTC after their 25-20, 25-14 home win over Dieterich.  Madyson Magnus had 9 points and 9 assists, Sydnee Garrett 7 points and 8 digs, Katie Shumate 7 points, Halle Smith added 7 kills.  The JV are 2-1 after their 26-24, 25-18 win behind 12 points from Zada Reynolds and 11 from Sierra Arnold.  SC is at Clay City tomorrow.

Columbia kept their winning streak over Carlyle intact with their 25-12, 25-11 victory.  It’s their 17th straight win over Carlyle with the last win coming in 2010.
