Case Street Railroad crossing in Kinmundy closing for renovation 

The Case Street crossing on the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks in Kinmundy will be closed for three weeks beginning Thursday for rehabilitation.

The railroad will be installing both gates and lights at the crossing.   The city will reslope the approaches to get rid of the huge bump.

The work is being paid for through the Illinois Commerce Commission grade crossing improvement program.  The estimated cost is $580,000.
