Central City man has drug charge dropped as he graduates from Marion County Drug Court

A 26-year-old Central City man had a charge of possession of under five grams of methamphetamine dropped against him as he successfully completed the Marion County drug court program on Friday.

Slade Thompson of Charlotte Street had faced an extended-term sentence due to a prior conviction when he entered drug court.

The case was dismissed Friday as the judge signed an order saying Thompson had met all the conditions of drug court.
