Five sentenced to probation after entering guilty pleas to felony drug charges  

Five people have been sentenced to probation after entering guilty pleas in Marion County Court on felony drug charges.

26-year-old Jerrad Scarbrough of West Chestnut in Odin was placed on two years probation and given credit for four days served in jail after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of under five grams of meth.

42-year-old Christel Marks of South Sycamore in Centralia was placed on two years first offender probation for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.   She was also ordered to complete 30 hours of public service work and pay court costs.

22-year-old Katelyn Dial of West Frankfort was placed on two years first offender probation and 30 hours of public service work after pleading guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance.   Another possession of a controlled substance charge from the same day was dropped along with another possession of a controlled substance charge following an arrest on another day.

35-year-old Joshua Fleming of South Hickory in Centralia was placed on two years probation and ordered to serve 30 days in jail for possession of a controlled substance.

36-year-old Joshua Coonce of Beckemeyer was placed on two years probation and given credit for 31 days served in jail after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance.   Coonce allegedly had less than 15 grams of heroin in his possession when arrested last September.
