A 20-year-old Salem man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.

Alexander Brown of Maplewood Avenue was placed on two years probation, given credit for 28 days served in jail, ordered to undergo drug evaluation and treatment with random testing and complete a job search.

Brown was arrested in October after a traffic stop led sheriff's deputies to Brown's home to look for a key to a lockbox found in the vehicle. After watching him inside through a window, deputies allegedly saw Brown place items inside his pants. He was later allegedly found with a small package of meth. The lockbox was later opened with two drug pipes, a digital scale with meth residue allegedly found inside.

A later search of the mobile home allegedly turned up other drug paraphernalia.
