Centralia City Councilman Wants a Dog Park

David Sauer Hopes Those Interested Will Come Forward With Help or Donations

Centralia City Councilman David Sauer wants to see a dog park developed in Centralia. He's hoping those with an interest in the project will come forward to offer donations to make the project a reality.

Sauer says several locations have been discussed, but the best might be the former Ameren property at 5th and Hickory which is already fenced. The issue was brought up during Sauer's councilman comments and no action was taken.

The Centralia City Council purchased a new squad car from the state bid from Morrow Brothers at a cost of $31,985. Police Chief Brian Atchison says the department hand delivered bid packages to all the Centralia dealerships, but none tried to top the state bid.
