SC Honors Brimberry in Surprise Recognition….Salem Falls At Carlyle

It was a special night at South Central High School as several former players and coaches surprised Hall of Fame volleyball coach Mary Brimberry as the Lady Cougars hosted Woodlawn.  Following the presentation between the JV and Varsity matches said she was humbled and blessed saying…..”My girls have kept me young at heart.  I know SC volleyball has always had talent, coaching talented players, respectful young ladies, and having fun while getting the job done has been awesome.  As I retire from coaching after this season, I know the tradition at SC will carry on, we have great kids.”  SC dropped their varsity match 18-25, 24-26, the JV won and the Fresh/Soph lost.  SC will open the NTC Tournament on Friday.

It was a difficult night for the Salem Lady Wildcats on the court yesterday after a frustrating loss at Carlyle 14-25, 21-25.  Malia Harris and Chloe Harness had 4 kills each.  The JV lost 21-25, 16-25 and the freshmen pulled out a 21-18, 21-16 victory.

Also last night, Patoka fell to Cowden Herrick in 3 sets 22-25, 25-19, 16-25.

In prep volleyball today, Christ Our Rock is at Mulberry Grove.
