Four people were sent from Marion County Court to jail on Tuesday for failing drug tests prior to making their scheduled court appearances. 20-year-old Danielle Campbell of East Main in Salem, 44-year-old Christy Skurat of North White Swan Lane in Richview, and 18-year-old Melanie Renth of Route 127 in Carlyle all remained in the Marion County Jail on Wednesday. The fourth person, 37-year-old Brian McKinzie of Louse Creek Road in Patoka, posted $500 bond and was released.
Two people who told sheriff’s officials they were homeless were returned from the City of St. Louis where they were arrested on outstanding 2018 felony warrants. 34-year-old Ericka Kemple was wanted on a new warrant in a stolen vehicle case and for obstructing justice. 38-year-old Ryan Whigham is being held on a petition to revoke his probation in the stolen vehicle case. Each is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.
40-year-old Chasity Anderson of Richmond Heights Mobile Home Park in Central City was arrested by Central City Police on a Marion County failure to appear warrant in a possession of methamphetamine case. Bond is set at $15,000.
52-year-old Gerald Moon of North Broadway in Salem was given a notice to appear in court for misdemeanor retail theft. He reportedly was attempting to take $92 in merchandise he did not pay for.
