Doris Helen Cutrell, 100, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:20 am March 26, 2020 at Green Tree Memory Care in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Doris loved to garden and take care of her home. She was of the baptist faith. Her greatest joy was her family and she will be dearly missed.

Doris is survived by her son, David A. Cutrell and wife, Jean of Santa Fe, New Mexico; grandchildren, Andy Cutrell of Athens, Alabama, John Matthews of Santa Barbara, California, Lindsay Arnold of Saint Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Ethan Arnold of Saint Louis, Missouri, McKenna Arnold of Saint Louis, Missouri; nephews, David Guthrie of Sikeston, Missouri, Lee Porter, Mike Mason of Kentucky, Eddie Mason of Dallas, Texas, Mark Hulen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and nieces, Lynn McLaughlin, Brenda Guthrie of Santa Barbara, California, Dawn Guthrie of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Ann Beckleund of Portland, Oregon.
She was born December 25, 1919 in Tamms, Illinois to the late William W. and Marjorie (Hargis) Hulen. Doris married Andrew Jackson Cutrell on February 14, 1941 in Sikeston, Missouri. They were blessed with sixty-six years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 4, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Antonio and siblings, Bill Hulen, Russell Hulen, Winifred Guthrie, Mary Cox, Margaret Mason, and Jean Porter.Mrs. Cutrell owned and operated Dixie Cream Donuts with her husband for forty-eight years in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
