Marion County goes 12th day with no new positive coronavirus cases; 23 more deaths reported statewide      

The Marion County Health Department reports the county has gone a 12th day without a new positive coronavirus case.   The department reports of the 51 positive cases reported to date, 49 have recovered.  The number of negative test results are now up to 1,364.

Clinton County has reported five new positive cases over the weekend, bringing the total number of positives to 187.  The health department reports 64 remain on home quarantine and one remains hospitalized.   The death total remains at 17.   105 have been released from isolation.   There have 906 negative test results.

There was one new positive case reported in Fayette County.   It is in a juvenile.  The county has had three deaths.  The other 20 cases have all recovered.

Jefferson County had no new cases over the weekend.  Of the 104 positive cases, 90 have been released from isolation.  There have also been 1,392 negative test results.

Washington, Clay, and Wayne County Health Departments reported no new cases over the weekend and have no active cases remaining.

Statewide, 974 new cases were reported on Monday, including 23 additional deaths.   All 23 deaths were in Cook County and the suburban counties around Chicago.

There have now been a total of 121,234 cases, including 5,412 deaths.

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests from May 25–May 31 is down to 6%.
