The Marion County Health Department reported no new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, but that wasn’t the case in Clinton, Jefferson, and Wayne Counties.
Marion County remains at 66 positive cases, with all but six now recovered and out of isolation. There have been another 2,329 negative cases in the county.
Clinton County reported seven new cases over the weekend, bringing the county’s total to 239. 37 of those remain on quarantine and one hospitalized.
Jefferson County is reporting two new cases over the weekend, bringing their total number of positives to 109. Only the two new cases remain active. Jefferson County has had 2,727 negative tests.
Wayne County has reported one new case over the weekend. That brings their total number of cases to 13. The new case and one other remain in isolation. 1,518 have tested negative in Wayne County.
Washington and Fayette County join Marion County in not reporting any new COVID-19 cases over the weekend.
Statewide, the Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 738 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease on Monday along with 14 additional confirmed deaths. A man in his 50’s from Perry County is one of the fatalities. The rest are all in the Chicago area.
Laboratories reported 26,918 tests on Sunday. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity compared to the total number of cases from June 22nd to June 28th is 2.7-percent.
