Centralia Police investigating armed robbery at Huck’s store; one clerk seeks hospital treatment of injuries (Updated 4:30 pm) 

Centralia Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Huck’s Store on East Calumet Street.

Police say a man armed with a gun demanded money and eventually shoved the two clerks behind the counter before making off with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

Neither clerk was initially believed to be injured.  However, one later went to Salem Township Hospital for treatment and was later released.

There were no customers in the store at the time.

The suspect is described as a white male.    The armed robbery occurred around 5:45 Wednesday morning.
