Centralia woman arrested on multiple charges following investigation of suspicious person

Central City Police have arrested a 29-year-old Centralia woman on multiple charges after investigating a suspicious person on the porch of an abandoned home in the 100 block of East Marvin.

Taylor Rogers of  Bonanza Drive in Centralia was eventually arrested for possession of a controlled substance, obstructing identification, and on two outstanding Clinton County warrants.

Central City Police say when first approached Rogers allegedly gave police a false name.  She later admitted her true identity which resulted in the discovery that she was wanted on the two outstanding Clinton County warrants.  One is a felony warrant for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance with bond set at $10,000.

A later search of a backpack that Rogers had in her possession allegedly turned up heroin, a prescription pill for which she did not have a prescription, needles, and other drug paraphernalia.

Rogers was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
