Both Marion and Jefferson County are reporting new COVID-19 cases on Friday.
The Marion County Health Department is reporting a female in her 40s is doing well and is at home on isolation. She lived in the same household as a prior contact. The case is the 78th positive in the county. 67 have now recovered, including one who was removed from isolation on Thursday. There have been 2,775 negative test results.
The Clinton County Health Department is reporting three new positive cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing their total number of positive cases to 250. Eight remain on home quarantine none of which are hospitalized. 255 have been released from isolation.
The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting three new cases, bringing their total number of positives to 120. A male in his 40s and two females in their 30s are the latest to test positive. 11 of the cases remain active. There have been 3,332 negative test results.
No new cases are being reported in Fayette, Washington, Clay or Wayne Counties on Friday morning.
Effingham County on Thursday reported seven new cases ranging in age from a male less than ten to a man and woman in their 70s.
