Kaskaskia College is proud to announce the 2019-20 NJCAA Academic All American Individuals and All-Academic Teams were women’s tennis, softball, volleyball and baseball.
Student athletes named to the First Team for having a 4.0 GPA include volleyball player Baylee Richter (Breese), women’s basketball player Emily Stern (Ashley), men’s basketball player Jalen Williams (Jackson, MO), cross country runner Connor Stewart (Coulterville), men’s tennis player Kyele Mossman (Effingham), women’s soccer players Taylor Hobbs (Murphysboro) and Morgan Scruggs (Fortville, IN), softball player Kayla Guetersloh (Carlyle) and baseball players Dalton Hoel and Noah Pierce (Tuscola) and Noah Crocker (Carlyle).
Athletes named to the Second Team for achieving a GPA of 3.8-3.99 include volleyball player Taylor Powell (Lovington), women’s basketball player Bella Brumbaugh (Woodlawn), women’s tennis players Elisabeth Brunner (Springfield), Sydney Hefferly (St. Jacob), and Grace McCormick (Johnston City), cross country runners Jaylyn Bower (Nashville) and Breann Wernle (Highland), women’s soccer players Jenny Buchanan (Harrisburg) and Ashley Fritsche (Fararr, MO), softball player Emma Reagan (Thompsonville) and baseball player Cade Kresin (Tuscola).
Students who were named to the Third Team for achieving a GPA of 3.6-379 are women’s tennis players Larissa Hoffman (Jackson, MO) and Kaitlyn Nix (Salem), cross country runner Elyse Faust (St. Rose), softball players Lindsey McMillan (Centralia), Madison Schaubert (Salem), Krista Stanford (Elizabethtown) and Jordan Stiegman (Nashville) and baseball players Dawson Smith (Teutopolis) and Luis Rivera (Puerto Rico).
Kaskaskia College Athletic Director, Cathy Karrick, said, “This is a very proud moment in the athletic department for KC. The fact that these student athletes had to finish their spring semesters learning online says a lot for their dedication to their education. I am so very proud of them”.
