Marion County Sheriff’s Department investigates burglaries and thefts

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary and several theft complaints.

The sheriff’s department received a report that the Rotary Field on Perrine Street south of Centralia had a storage building entered after a door was pried open. A UTV, tools, battery jumper, gas cans with gas, leaf blower, and two SIM cards for the cameras were stolen.

A representative of the Old Bethel Cemetery in rural Iuka reported that a lock was cut off a lockbox used for donations. An unknown amount of money was stolen. Telford Tire on the Selmaville Road in rural Salem reported a power washer and tools were taken from outside their business.

A resident of the 2600 block of Norton Road in rural Odin reported a cell phone stolen.

The sheriff’s department is also handling a criminal damage to property report. A resident of the 2900 block of Miles Lane in Salem reported that a back window was broken out of her vehicle.
