Two people shot, one critically, at Kerr and Pine in Centralia Thursday night    

Centralia Police say two persons were struck and injured by gunfire in a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Kerr and Pine Street between a group of pedestrians and an occupied vehicle.

Officers arriving on the scene initially located a 27-year-old man from Swansea that had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

A short time later, a 28-year-old female from Centralia arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital Emergency Room for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.

Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says the female, who was pregnant, was in critical condition.   The baby was delivered at the emergency room and is in stable condition.   The baby was transported to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment and observation.  The female gunshot victim was airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.   The male from Swansea was transported to a separate St. Louis Hospital where he received treatment for a single gunshot wound and was released.

The incident occurred at 8:34 Thursday night.
