Centralia Police arrested a mother and son on drug charges and outstanding warrants during an early Saturday morning traffic stop near McCord and Beech.

27-year-old Paris Scott of East Broadway was taken into custody for alleged possession of meth, manufacture, and distribution of a lookalike substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Scott was also wanted on an outstanding Marion County failure to appear warrant on a possession of methamphetamine conviction.  Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.

Centralia Police believe Scott dropped a small grey bag behind a squad car that contained two glass pipes with meth residue, four small baggies with a look-alike substance, a digital scale, and multiple blue bags for the potential distribution of drugs.

Paris’ mother, 44-year-old Christine Scott of East Broadway in Centralia, was a passenger and was also arrested on multiple charges.  She was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession and delivery of methamphetamine, manufacture, and delivery of a lookalike substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on an unrelated theft charge for which she was listed as a person of interest.  Scott was also arrested on a petition to revoke his probation on a Marion County Court conviction for unlawful possession of a credit or debit card.  Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.
