Vernon man faces multiple charges after being tracked by Canine Koda

A 43-year-old Vernon man is being held in the Marion County Jail on multiple charges after attempting to flee on foot after his vehicle ran into a ditch at Myers and Bernard Road in rural Walnut Hill Friday night.

A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy was attempting to stop Seth Lambert of Burks Road when he ran into the roadside ditch.   He then fled on foot into an area with tall weeds.    Lambert was warned before the sheriff’s department canine Koda was released a short time later but didn’t give up.   The canine quickly found Lambert and held him until he was taken into custody.

Lambert was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, fleeing and eluding police, resisting a peace officer, driving suspended, and on a prior Marion County warrant charging possession of methamphetamine.
