Police Beat for Sunday, October 25th, 2020

A 27-year-old Versailles, Kentucky man was arrested by Centralia Police on Saturday for retail theft, obstructing justice, and resisting arrest.   Police say Dremar Carr was wanted for retail theft at the Circle K on East McCord following a Friday night incident.   Police took him into custody when he came to the police station Saturday acting unusual.   The obstructing justice and resisting arrest charges were added after he allegedly fought being handcuffed.   Carr was later transported to the Marion County Jail.

41-year-old Stephanie Holman of West Warmoth in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for alleged domestic battery.    Police say they were called to her home by Holman where they determined she had struck her boyfriend during an altercation.   Holman was taken to the Marion County Jail.

30-year-old Vanessa Wooden of Fremont Street in Kinmundy was arrested and taken to the county jail by sheriff’s deputies for alleged violation of bail bond.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating BB gunshots fired into the windows of a car parked in the two-thousand block of Lindell Avenue in rural Odin sometime before three Saturday morning.
