Centralia Police have arrested a 29-year-old Centralia man wanted on multiple charges, including a criminal sexual assault that occurred in January.

Police Chief Greg Dodson says Timothy Bryan of South Cherry ran from a traffic stop at 11th and Cherry and was able to getaway. However, he later called the police to turn himself in.

Dodson says the sexual assault involved a family member. He was also arrested for failure to register as a sex offender for not residing where he was registered. Bryan was also taken to the Marion County Jail for domestic battery, resisting arrest, and on a Marion County failure to appear warrant on a pending aggravated domestic battery charge.

The bond on the warrant is set at $7,500.
