Coming in with national rankings and on the heels of their best showing of the season, KC’s cross country teams will take part in the NJCAA Region 24 meet today in Vincennes, Indiana.
The 8th ranked Blue Angels and No. 18 Blue Devils will run on the course at South Knox High School which is on State Route 61 about 6 miles south of Vincennes. Both squads turned in impressive performances last weekend in the Fall Classic hosted by St Louis College of Pharmacy. Facing several 4 year schools, as they have all season, each KC team came in 3rd.
While today’s race is a Region meet, it will not have any bearing on who goes to the nationals on Nov. 14 at Iowa Central CC in Fort Dodge. That remains an open meet with all teams that competed in a Region meet eligible to run as well as those in a Region that did not have a championship meet.
