The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 11,891 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. There were 127 additional deaths, including a male in his 60s in Wayne County. Other Southern Illinois Deaths included a male in his 90s in Effingham County, three residents in Franklin, Madison, and St. Clair Counties, and one in Shelby County.
The State’s positivity rate for the week ending November 20th is down to 11.5-percent. The positivity rate for the Southern Illinois region fell to 12.9-percent. The Marion County rate remained at 18.1-percent. The Metro East Region dropped to 15.5-percent. The East Central Illinois Region is at 14.5-percent.
