A 31-year-old Centralia man has been charged with felony retail theft after allegedly leaving the Centralia Huck’s Store with a donut he did not pay for.

Centralia Police say Travis Wooters of North Hickory was quickly apprehended as he walked past a squad car on his way out of the store.   Reports indicate Wooters had already been banned from the store. The charge was a felony due to a prior retail theft conviction.

Wooters was also out on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond in a case where he is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Wooters had a bond set at $7,500 during his first appearance in Marion County Court on Tuesday.  He waived representation by a public defender.
