Police Beat for Thursday, November 26th, 2020

A 23-year-old Salem man was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Marion County warrant.  The warrant was issued to Brian Scott after a petition to revoke his probation was filed on a violation of an order of protection conviction.  Scott told authorities he was homeless.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remains in lieu of $3,000 bond.

A 21-year-old Iuka woman has posted a $150 bond and been released from the county jail on a battery charge.   Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cheyenne Morris of Camp Street on Wednesday in connection with an altercation that occurred in an apartment on Everett Street in Odin on Tuesday.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has recovered a pickup truck stolen from the 300 block of South Washington Street in Kinmundy.   The truck was discovered missing on Wednesday morning.  It was found in the 1200 block of South Marion Street in Salem around ten Thursday morning.   There was no one around the truck.  So far no arrests have been made.
