Donald Blomberg, age 82, of Kinmundy, Illinois passed away at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home in Kinmundy, Illinois. He was a lifelong member of Farina United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army Reserves. He enjoyed going to antique tractor and steam engine shows, watching Cardinal baseball, and spending time with his family and friends.

There will be a public walk-through viewing from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Farina United Methodist Church in Farina, Illinois. There will be a private family funeral service to follow. Steve Fox will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in St. Peter, Illinois. Memorials may go to the Farina United Methodist Church, Alzheimer’s Association, or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com. He married Coleen K. Jenne on August 6, 1967 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Coleen Blomberg of Kinmundy, Illinois; daughter, Karen Baylis (husband Ed) of Kinmundy, Illinois; acquired son, Harald Weibel (wife Conny) of Freidberg, Germany; two brothers, Charles Blomberg (wife Zola) of Farina, Illinois and Howard Blomberg (wife Pat) of Kinmundy, Illinois; brother-in-law, Howard Voelker of Altamont, Illinois; one grandchild, Ellie Baylis and four acquired grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Donald was born on May 1, 1938 in Kinmundy, Illinois, the son of Charles and Nellie (Diss) Blomberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nellie Blomberg; three sisters, Junne Curtis, Jean Young, and Helen Voelker; brothers-in-law, Bob Young, Allen Sasse, and Wayne Jenne; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Sasse; three nephews, Steve Curtis, Joe Voelker, and Roger Krummrich.
