Iuka man arrested for threatening a public official and resisting a peace officer

A 26-year-old rural Iuka man is being held in the Marion County Jail for allegedly threatening a public official and resisting a peace officer following a family disturbance at his home.

Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the disturbance at the home of Dylan Jennings on Nickleson Creek Road when he allegedly became involved in an altercation with two other family members. Upon arrival, Jennings allegedly made threats to both family members and the deputy. The sheriff’s department reports Jennings also allegedly fought being handcuffed and eventually was tazed twice before being taken into custody.

The sheriff’s department received the call at 5:51 Sunday night.
