A 25-year-old Farina woman was injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 185 about two miles west of St. Peter.
State Police say a preliminary investigation indicates Alissa Smith was traveling north on Illinois Route 185 at 900 North when she lost control of her truck due to frost on the roadway and ran off the right side of the road. Smith struck a ditch embankment before coming to a stop.
Smith was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. She was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 7:40 Wednesday morning.
