The Marion County Board was told by the developer of its new website that it could be operational in March.

The board Tuesday night discussed what the website would include. It will have information on upcoming county board meetings, approved minutes of past meetings, as well as some general information. Links will be provided for those wanting to file a Freedom of Information request with any county office.

The development of the website is expected to cost less than $1,000.

Board members were told Tuesday night the iPad computers that will be given to each board member have now arrived and will be distributed shortly. They will allow county board members to receive meeting agendas and other information electronically as well as giving them the ability to look back at past board action.
