Centralia City Hall to reopen on Friday

By News Jan 19, 2021 | 12:36 PM

The lobby of Centralia City Hall and the City Clerk’s office will reopen to the public on Friday.

The announcement comes as a result of the Southern Illinois Region moving to Phase Four, which loosens mitigations to control the spread of COVID-19.

The first hour of each day, between 7:30 and 8:30 am, is reserved for those at risk such as the elderly or immune-compromised.    You can also continue to mail in your bill payment, pay through the city’s website, or by placing it in the drop boxes on the west side of City Hall or across the street from the Emergency Operation Center.   You’re encouraged to continue to utilize the many electronic methods to conduct business.

The clerk’s office will also continue to assist customers with billing questions at 618-533-7625.

Appointments should be made in advance for the City Manager’s Office, any of the other administrative offices, or the Animal Shelter.

The city will continue to following safety guidelines as provided by state and federal officials.
