UNDATED (AP) — Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL draft, while Buckeyes wide receiver Chris Olave is returning for his senior year. The teammates announced their decisions Monday on Twitter. Fields, expected to be a first-round pick, went 20-2 as a two-year starter for the Buckeyes. Olave was Fields’ favorite target and OSU’s leading receiver.

UNDATED (AP) — Gonzaga once again has racked up all but the two first-place votes that went to Baylor in the latest Associated Press men’s college basketball poll. Villanova remained firmly behind the preseason top two despite not playing a game since Dec. 23 due to COVID-19 pauses within its program. Iowa and Texas swapped places to round out the top 5, while Duke plummeted from the poll for the first time since February 2016 following its loss to Virginia Tech. Louisville also fell out while No. 18 Alabama and No. 24 UCLA were newcomers to the poll.

UNDATED (AP) — Louisville is No. 1 in The Associated Press women’s college basketball poll for the first time in school history. The Cardinals moved to the top spot after previous No. 1 Stanford lost to Colorado. Louisville received 20 first-place votes from a 29-member national media panel. Its first game as No. 1 will be against Syracuse on Thursday. North Carolina State was second for the Wolfpack’s best ranking since December 1990. UConn, South Carolina and Stanford round out the top five teams in the poll. Stanford was one of nine ranked teams to lose last week.
