Blue Devils & Blue Angels Open Season On Wednesday Night With Split Results

The Kaskaskia College Blue Devils opened up their season at home with no fans in attendance due to Covid mitigations.  It didn’t slow the home team down as KC rolled past Missouri Baptist 104-77.  Brian Hancock’s team took a 57-37 lead at halftime as they led from start to finish.  Payton Sheen had 28 to lead KC with 16 from Chris White, Shomari Tillett added 15, Jalen Williams 14, Jylen Petty 12 and Traeveion Jones 10.  Cordell Hanes had 25 to lead Missouri Baptist.  The Devils are at home on Friday against Hannibal LaGrange College at 6pm.  KC broadcasted the game on their Facebook Page and will continue to do so for home games this season.

Jay Jenkins and the KC Blue Angels had a tougher time in their opener falling on the road at 4th ranked Lincoln Land College 92-50.  Waltonville grad Peyton Wilderman led KC with 14, Janiah Newell and Kyra Duncan added 10 each and Reyna Bullock added 8.  Emily Meidel led LLCC with 17.  KC returns to action on Saturday when they host Danville Area at 1pm.
