Senator Plummer Launches Valentine’s For Seniors Program

By News Jan 24, 2021 | 8:17 AM

In an effort to lift the spirits of Illinois’ senior citizen community, 54th District State Senator Jason Plummer is collecting Valentine’s Day cards for his newly introduced Valentine’s For Seniors Program.

Plummer fears with the ongoing health pandemic, the senior citizen community has been extremely secluded and the isolation has taken its toll. He says the card drive is just a small gesture to reach out to our seniors, show our support and let them know we care.

Plummer is encouraging churches, schools, and community members of the 54th Senate District to write Valentine’s Day cards that can be dropped off or mailed to his district offices. Once all the cards have been collected, they will be delivered to the various long-term care facilities throughout the district.

The collection of Valentine’s Day cards will run through Wednesday, February 10th.

The mail-in or drop-off location is 310 West Gallatin Street, Vandalia, IL 62471.
