Elite Finish Season As Athletes Prepare For Jr High Seasons

The SI Elite 8th graders closed out their Travel Basketball season with a trip to Belleville this weekend.  The Elite went 1-3.

On Saturday they opened with a 42-19 win over the Gillespie Shockers.  Braden Rector led the Elite with 11, Devin Konhorst added 8 and Nathaniel Marlow finished with 7 in the balanced attack.

In Game 2, Marlow scored 19 but it wasn’t enough as the Elite fell to Hoop Squad 61-50.  Colton Starnes and Jeremiah Whitelow had 7, Miking Ettress 6 and Keaton Gullion 3.

On Sunday the Elite fell to Dieterich 39-29 led by Etress with 13 with Starnes and Lyric Black 4 points each.  The Elite lost to the Montgomery County Missouri Cats 59-39 with Marlow scoring 15, Whitelow 10.
