Kaskaskia 76; Lincoln Trail 62
Kaskaskia pulled off an upset Saturday afternoon – winning at home over 20th-ranked Lincoln Trail, 76-62.
Sophomore Shomari Tillett and Traevion Jones scored 16 points each. Tillett scored 14 points in the opening half while Jones tallied ten in the final twenty minutes. Chauncy Hughes scored ten of his 12 points after the break and Chris White had eight of his ten points also in the final period.
Ahmad Price led Lincoln Trail (5-2) with 17 points. Nelson Mbongo scored 12 and Blaise Beauchamp scored ten.
Kaskaskia (5-2) led 30-29 at halftime.
Vincennes 84; Lewis & Clark 61
The 24th-ranked Trailblazers broke a two-game losing streak with an 84-61 victory at Lewis & Clark in Godfrey, Ill.
VU (6-3) got off to a slow start, but broke away for a 37-23 advantage at halftime and stretched the margin to 30 points midway through the final half.
Randy Tucker hit three treys and scored 15 points in a starting role while John Ukamadu came off the bench to also net 15 points in the win.
Chris Wells scored 13 and Jalen Harper had twelve points.
VU had five players meshed a season-high 10 treys.
Zidane Moore led all scorers with 17 points – 12 coming in the final half. Brandon Malone netted 14 for L&C (0-5) while Kenon Dixon scored eleven.
Olney Central 86; Wabash Valley 69
Honorable mention Olney Central improved to 6-2 with an 86-69 home win over Wabash Valley.
Elijah Farr and Cobie Montgomery combined for 31 second half points to power the victory after WVC (5-3) led 35-34 at halftime.
Farr finished with a game-high 22 points. Montgomery scored 17 and J. J. Kalakon had 13 points.
TreVon Smith led the Warriors with 18 while Joshua Jones II and JeJuan Weatherspoon scored ten points each.
