Marion County Health Department reports another COVID-19 related death

The Marion County Health Department is reporting the 113th death during the COVID-19 pandemic.   A female in her 80s.    She was not a long-term care resident.

The health department also reported 21 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday and Wednesday.  None were long-term care residents or students.  20 are considered community spread and one spread from a household or close contact.

There are now 44 active cases, including eight who are hospitalized.  A total of 4,031 have now recovered, including 25 in the past two days.

The Jefferson County Health Department is reporting four new cases with 49 remaining in isolation.

Washington County is reporting just one new case in the past two days, with eight remaining in isolation.

The Fayette County Health Department reported one new case and Clay County two new cases.

Statewide, there were 2,022 new cases of COVID-19 along with 44 deaths.  The statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is 2.6-percent.
