The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,249 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. There were 22 additional deaths statewide. None were in South Central Illinois.
The Statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is 2.4-percent. Marion County’s positivity rate is at just eight-tenths of a percent.

Another 79,266 doses of vaccine were administered on Saturday, bringing the total number of vaccines to 2,705,934. Marion County has now had 6,585 shots administered with 2,050 fully immunized. That represents 5.45-percent of the county’s population.
