2021 03/03 – Margarette Maxine Redmond

Margarette Maxine Redmond, 88, of Centralia passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Maxine found it a great privilege to be a wife and mother and she worked diligently to provide a home that brought comfort to her husband and children.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Maxine Redmond with arrangements. A private family service was held. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in rural Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Maxine’s honor to the Donor’s Choice and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home. Survivors include his beloved family, children, Phyllis (Redmond) Christie and husband Robert of Columbia, MO, T. Gail Redmond of Centralia, IL, Stanley Redmond and wife Janet of Montgomery, MO, and David Redmond of Montgomery, MO; precious grandchildren, Robbie Christie, Columbia, MO, Katie Christie, Brunswick, GA, Brandy McGinnis, Centralia, IL, Christin and Jake Martin, Hoffman, IL, Tom and Kris Redmond, Bethalto, IL, Jacob Redmond, St. Charles, MO, and Madison Redmond, St. Charles, MO; cherished great-grandchildren, Mason Redmond, Harper Redmond, Brooke Redmond, and Jack Martin.

She was born on December 3, 1932 the daughter of Harvey and Willie (Ray) Haygood in Arbyard, MO. She married the love of her life, Robert Joe Redmond on April 2, 1951 in Arkansas and he preceded in death in 2005. Along with her husband, Robert Redmond, Maxine was preceded in death by both her parents, Harvey and Willie Haygood.
